Spain, France, Italy Itenirary Question

Hello All! I am going to Europe from 6/28-7/15 and I need some suggestions. My husband and I are flying into Barcelona on 6/28. We have reservations at a timeshare (graduation gift) in Paris from July 4 - July 9. We are flying out of Milan on 7/15. (Tickets already purchased!) Other than needing to be in Paris from 7/4-7/9, we are flexible about where we go and how much time we spend there. My husband wants to spend a couple of days in Barcelona (we've both been before, but loved it)
and then rent a car and make our way to Paris by 7/4. Any thoughts for where we should stop between Barcelona and Paris? Rental car vs. train? How many days in each place? Getting from Paris to Milan... I was thinking of taking a discount flight from Paris to Rome on 7/9 ($70ish flight) and than working our way back to Milan. I'd love to hit Florence or Cinque Terre on the way to Milan. I've never been to Italy and have no idea which one would be the better use of our limited time. Any thoughts, suggestions, opinions would be GREATLY appreciated!

Rome, Florence, and Cinque Terre would be a lot to do in 6 days, or actually 5 since you have to be in Milan to fly out on the 15th. How about flying form Paris to either Florence or Pisa? Then you can concentrate on Florence (3 nights) and Cinque Terre (2 nights) before heading up the coast on the train to Milan. What time is your flight from Milan?

Thanks for the response! I was thinking of doing Cinque Terre OR Florence, but not both. I have never been to Rome, so I'd like to see it. But, we could fly into Rome on the 9th - leave there on the 11th or 12th and go to Florence. Then spend the 12th and 13th in Florence. We are leaving super early from Milan on the 15th, so we have to be there by the 14th. Do you think that Pisa or Florence would be a better use of time than Rome?

Go to Florence if you want to see works of art. Go to Cinque Terre if you want to hike along the coast and hang out in little villages. You'll have fun in either location. Be sure to go up on the roof of the cathedral when you're in Milan. Good luck.
