Space Night

Okay, this isn't reallllly travel-related, but it concerns something I like to watch while I'm "home".

Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR) shows this 3 hour program a couple of times a week in the wee hours of the morning and it has some beautiful shots of space as seen from the ISS, the telescope and other media.

Along with the visual, they play some very cool and fitting music, and it's just a very nice way to relax if you're still awake and haven't gotten your "body-clock" in sync yet.

Ever seen it?

I've written the NASA channel to ask them to broadcast it here in the States, but never heard back.

Great program for space-fans.

Thanks

Thank you! My husband is a night owl and a tv addict, and I love the sound of a Bayern accent (my mom is Bavarian.)

Bill- Have you tried picking it up over the internet ? Some stations have a feed, might want to check.

Raleigh-Bill: Sorry to just now be answering. I have been to Colorado on a cycling vacation.

Bayerischer Rundfunk (television) shows Space Night during the wee hours of the morning, and yes, you can hear and see "snippets" of the show on their homepage, but it isn't the same.

DVD's of the shows are also available, BTW.

Here's a Wiki-Link which further explains: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Night

Thanks

Hi Bill,
... We suppose you are well acquainted with HEAVENS ABOVE, but a lot of blog readers have never heard of it. Heavens Above has an incredible amount of space items, including ISS celestial transit schedules, etc. and whole sky maps for the date, time and place you nominate. See Heavens Above just by clicking on the above link... Thanks for the information on BR.
