South Europe in Nov/Dec

Flying to Barcelona late November returning early December from Italy or Croatia.
I'm planning to public transport, bus, train even car rental on my trip along mediterenian coast to Pisa, Italy or maybe as far as Pula, Croatia.( time permitting ).
Any one done this route? Cost ? Time ?

Please advise.
Thanks

I do not understand your route. Do you mean train/bus from Barcelona to Pisa? It is a long way from Pisa to Croatia.... How many days do you have on the ground in Europe?

You can use the website Rome2Rio to estimate distances, costs, and times even on public transportation.

You may want to consider taking a ferry across the Adriatic Sea from Italy to Pula.
The cost isn't bad no matter which way you decide to travel...a rental car might be fun if you choose to drive...there is a lot to see between Pisa and Pula. Get out a map and take a look.
To do this section of your trip (from Pisa to Pula) I personally would take no less than 10 days. You could visit Florence, Bologna, and Venice on the way. Each of these deserves at least 2 full days. Pula is great for both sightseeing and relaxation. Very pretty city with a beautiful coastline. Give it 2-3 days at least.
The part of your trip from Barcelona to Pisa will take some time as well. You need at least 2 full days in Barcelona. There are MANY places to stop between there and Pisa so I would allow at least 4-5 days with stops along the way. Some of these might include Collioure, Narbonne, Pezenas, Montpellier, Marseille or Nice, Avignon or Aix en Provence, the Cinqueterre...far too many to list!

If you do rent a car you should pick it up and drop it off in the same country...otherwise there are large fees involved if you leave it in another country other than the one in which you picked it up. Since you will not likely backtrack to Spain, train travel might be your best choice.
