Gate 1's Egypt tour was great, we did a 13 day tour with two river cruises two years ago.

I have also heard great things about their Egypt tours!

I have always been interested in trying a river cruise and exploring along the Danube, but as a solo traveler that is not very realistic because of the solo supplement charged. I ended up signing up for an 18 day (really works out to 16 night) land-river cruise combination with this sale. Starts with 3 nights in Prague, then travels for 7 nights on the river visiting various ports and ending in Bucharest where there are 6 more nights touring Romania. I saved $3900 because of the no single supplement charge.

They have this type of sale once or (at the most) twice a year and it is worth keeping an eye out for.

You have inspired me. I'm looking at 14 Day Danube River Cruise with Budapest & Prague and add an extra day or two in start and finish cities.
I better get some research in quick!

Carol, thanks so much for posting this! I have been wanting to take a tour that was relatively inexpensive, as I have never gone on a tour before and wanted to test the waters, so to speak. :-) So I've signed up for a 12 day trip to Romania for the fall of 2025. I am very excited about it, and hope to extend the tour on my own for a week or so.

I first started thinking about Gate 1 when you posted your Apples and Oranges thread (and geovagriffith has posted a lot about them), and the news about the sale was just the trigger I needed.

And very good to know that they have these periodic sales!

Thanks for posting this! I get a ton of gate1 emails but didn’t see his offer. I traveled to Sicily last Feb with gate1, and it was an incredible trip.

I jumped on an off season trip to Portugal. Oh boy, this was spur of the moment decision …hope it’s nice in March! It’s been on the bucket list, so I’m excited.
