Slovenia, no, wait, Slovankia, no .... wait, BiH ... no better idea........

Some you may have noticed that my posts have been all over Eastern Europe looking for idea. Its sort of the problem with being so close anything is possible.

I finally booked my flight. Montenegro .... again. Its just such a safe bet and its so easy to put together and I can have a really nice time for a not a bunch of traveling or a bunch of money. And I think in September I have to return to the US for about a week, then I will once again be predictable and go to Bosnia & Herzegovina (fishing), but with some side trips to parts I havent seen. Summer, maybe Lviv to vist friends. The trains out of Budapest make that almost convenient (Carlos, thats in Ukraine).

So, in mid-May the first day is in a village south of Podgorica some place ... dont know much ... the home of the mother of an aquaintance with some friends from the states and that was a pure conincidence that wasnt intended.

Then up to the high country, Tara Canyon, for 3 days of fishing the local rivers.

Then back down to the coast for a few days of alone time in the most comfortable hotel I could find. Along the way some wine tasing and some olive oil tasting. I have a balcony room with a view of Sveti Stefan and a private beach what could be nicer.

I am good with doing absolutely nothing. I've been to the coast of Montenegro a few times. And with experience comes the arrogance that you know it all and you miss out on some really good stuff. SO, suggestions for a day or two between Budva and Bar? I could go as far as Tivat or Korto I guess, but wouid have to be somehting really special. So far thinking about Paragliding and maybe some deep sea fishing.

For those who wonder if Discount Airlines are worth the money. For this trip I will travel down non stop on Wizz Air with a carry on and a personal item. Both are permitted to be fairly good size and weight and the standard carry on and personal item I always use will meet the limits. But that is an upgrade to the next fare level to bring the carry on so the $40 ticket cost me $80 and came with free seats and automated check in and priority boarding ... pretty good seats at that.

Coming back I have to fly either Air Serbia or Austrian Air. Both with one stop of less than 3 hours. Both at $165 plus the seat cost (havent bought the ticket back yet) or I can stay one more day in Montenegro and catch Wizz Air back ... $80.
