Going to France for 3 weeks in June(yay!)...this will be our first foray into Europe with a CPAP machine. Any tips? Thanks
p.s. We have been to Europe several times and are a'youthful' over 60's couple.

My brother in law had his when we went to Spain, Portugal and Italy. I think it takes 115V-240V therefore all you'll need is the adapter for the European sockets (2 round prongs). But check out your voltage just in case. It has to take the 220 Volts. That's the EU standard.

Some CPAP's are already dual voltage, but you'll just have to have an electrical adapter plug to plug into their electricity. Some CPAP's require am electrical converter to get the power from 220 to 110 volts.
You'll just need to read in your instructions about your specific CPAP machine.

Hi Laura,
I have done several European trips with a CPAP machine in tow. As has already been mentioned most of these machines are dual voltage but will require the plug adaptors. I've also found it helpful to bring an extension cord, usually about 6 feet in length. Most rooms will have limited number of outlets and not always conveniently located.

Thanks everyone, we already knew about the electrical concerns, but good to be reminded about the manufacturer. Will definitely bring an extension cord, since we stay mostly in B&B's. Have had no previous problems with airport security, but that was in the US.....I take it that Europe is equally savvy?
Happy travels to all.
