For anyone going back and forth on ticket prices, looks like the Sky Team carriers (Delta, Air France/KLM, etc.) just announced a 3 day transatlantic fare sale (spring/summer 2016) with some close to price-matching coming from airlines in other alliances. A few of the routes I searched are $300-$500 per ticket cheaper than they were a few days ago.
One of the questions that comes up a lot here is 'when should I buy tickets?' And it's tough to say because there are so many variables involved. Things could always get cheaper later on if the airlines discover they're overestimated demand. But the prices I'm finding right now seem to be quite reasonable given what they had been and for those still trying to solve the airfare question it's worth a look, and possibly a booking. .
