Does any one know if there is museums tickets for sale that allows one to skip the long lines. The Louvre in Paris allows that, and it is a wonderful time saver.

Other than the Paris Museum Pass, I'm not aware of any, but you should check with each museum you want to visit.
I am going to Amsterdam, and am really interested in the Rijks museum.
You can purchase tickets on-line via this site:

Because of the cramped space the exhibition is in due to construction, overcrowding can be a problem. Thus, it's best to visit at opening or late in the day. Soon a chap name Brad from VA will tell you to steer clear of the Rijks Museum. IMO its one of my best art museums in the world and should not be missed.
I know that the Anne Frank Museum and the Van Gogh museum both offer tickets for online ordering so you can skip the line. The Van Gogn and Rijksmuseum are both covered by the I Amsterdam Card, which also offers admission to many other attractions (but not Anne Frank) and you can skip the lines with the Card, too.
Liv- You still have to go through the security line (just went at the beginning of May) and wait to get your audio guide (which is included with one of the tickets). I was there for tulip season and lines weren't bad at all for the Van Gogh or Rijksmuseum. Enjoy! If you have a chance and visit Den Haag - on't forget the Maurits Museum - home to Vermeer's "Girl With The Pearl Earring". Its lovely!
For the Anne Frank Huis, you can purchase tickets and print them at home, but you need to be able to decide at what time you plan to go. You can also go to the AMS Tourist Info stops and get the ticket there. If you're planning on going on a weekend, get your ticket ASAP. I had a 6:30pm entry - which allows you to enter by 7:30pm which is good to know!
PM me if you have any other questions.
Thank you so much for your reply. It was so great to get this straight. Yes, I am planning to go Sat. July 26th. so I will get the tickets pronto
Gratefully yours

Some museum passes allows you to bypass lines. You will have to check what the pass covers and if it allows you bypass waiting in lines. Also you can plan to go very early or later to popular sites. Depending when you are planning to visit, there may be no lines at these sites. During low or off seasons, you can walk straigh up to the ticket booth. I was in Paris in mid Nov and just walked into the Louvre, bought my ticket and went straight in.
Good Luck.
Thank you, that is very usefull information. Will act accordingly

You can buy the iAmsterdam pass at any TI (the airport one is convenient). Note though that you really don't get to skip the lines because of security, but it does save you digging around for $$.
Although not covered by the pass, you can buy tickets to the Anne Frank house online ahead of time and you DO get to skip the lines. Facing the musueum, there's a separate entry door to the left - just ring the buzzer and they let you in ahead of everyone in the long line. I went this past Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. and the place was PACKED.
Yes! Tickets for Van Gogh museum and Anne Frank House in Amsterdam are both available on line. Works great! Not sure about Riks...
Don't miss them.

Liv -
you can buy tickets to the Rijksmuseum online. Buy them online and print them at home, put your copy with your tickets/passport. Don't wrinkle the bar codes - they will need to be scanned.
I agree - check out the World Press Photo Exhibition. Its amazing. But I will warn you - you're in the Red Light District - when you walk down the street you're in the "working girl" area! How bizarre!
