SIM card for data download in Hungary/Poland/Czech/Germany

I'll be traveling to Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic and Germany in June, and I'm looking for suggestions for the best type of SIM card to get for my unlocked android phone. I'm mainly interested in being able to use the phone to access the web for limited amounts of data such as email when WiFi isn't available. Is there a single SIM card that would allow me to do this in the above countries? Thanks, Stan

Yes, there are lots of single SIM cards that will let you access the Internet in the four countries you list. The services that offer one SIM card that works throughout Europe usually have data options. Unfortunately, the services aren't cheap. The prices usually run $10-$15 per MB. That is high. You might be better off buying a prepaid SIM card in each country and paying the local rates for data use. Or, buy a SIM in the first country you visit and then pay the data roaming rates that company charges. You may discover they are less than that charged by the Euro-SIM companies. (Many of these companies are listed, by-the-way, in the thread titled, "Purchase or rent cell phone for Europe?") Just by way of comparison, here are the rates T-Mobile U.K. charges for its Euro Booster data roaming packages: Euro Internet 3MB £1 * Surf the internet for a whole day up to 3MB Euro Internet 20MB £5 * Surf the internet for a whole week up to 20MB Euro Internet 50MB £10
* Surf the internet for a whole month up to 50MB I haven't looked, but I would presume T-Mobile in its home country might offer similar deals.

Okay, I looked at T-Mobile.de's web site. I don't speak German so I had to rely on Google's translation efforts. It looks like you can get an unlimited prepaid data connection for either $0.99 or 0.99 Euros per day. Not a bad deal for a short period of use, at least in Germany. I didn't see on the site where the data roaming costs were listed.

vodafone or t-mobile can do. but, you should really just think about wifi - it's widely available in europe, so you shouldn't really need to do anything with sim card - make calls with skype.
