SIM CARD at the CDG airport?

Hi,

I just booked my trip so I'm behind in getting everything together. I won't have enough time to order a international sim card to arrive before I head to Europe. Does anyone know if these can be bought in the airport during my layover in Paris? I'm planning to spend time in Paris (later on), Italy, and London. I've heard I can't buy in Italy since I'm not a residence.

Houston,

One caveat about buying a SIM card at Paris CDG, is that when you use this in Italy and London, you'll pay fairly steep roaming costs.

A few questions:

  • When are you heading to Europe?

  • Do you have the option of roaming with your home network?

Hi,

I'm heading to Rome this Thursday.And then London on the 22nd-29th, with a day trip to Paris.

I do have the option of roaming with my home network but I belive it will be over a $1 a minute and I would incur roaming costs on top of it. I've also heard others who have had horror stories with them (Tmobile). Luckily they will unlock my phone for me.

Do you think that I can get a GLOBAL sim card in Paris? I could look in Rome as well but not sure how hard it will be to find this.

Do you think I would have a better option with getting a phone card and just calling home on public phones?
