Has anyone stayed at the Sidney Hotel in London-Victoria ? good or bad comments. how far from main attractions ? walking distance ? how much has anyone paid for a double occupancy ?

James, try the Luna & Simone right across the street. Never stayed at the Sidney but have spoken to "residents" while waiting for the bus in front of the hotel. From what I heard during those chats and have seen on TAdvisor reviews, the L&S is a better deal, hotel, and my temporary London home during several stays over the past 3+ years.

My wife and I stayed there in March '08. We got a pretty good deal on the room. I think that it was $110 a night. No real complaints about the hotel. The room and especially the bathroom were small, but that is to be expected. The front desk was friendly and the check-in/out process was smooth. The breakfast was unremarkable, but not terrible. The location is EXCELLANT. Very easy access to the tube and bus stops. I would consider staying there again next time we are in London.
