Side Trip to Andorra

Our trip to Spain this year will give us an opportunity to explore by car. One location we would like to check out is Andorra. We may stay one night, but will surely have at least one meal. If you have any suggestions for food, or lodging, please share. Thank you!

Other than the satisfaction of checking off the minor geographic oddity, I think most of us who have been there done that concluded it was not terribly worthwhile. My impression was just: bad traffic, the main road lined with endless shops selling cheap junk, not really much in the way of charm that justified the detour. The drive up and over from the French side was pretty, but not any more than a lot of other mountain passes. I wasn't sorry I did it, but I'm not sure I'd do it again. I certainly wouldn't spend a night there.

Others may have found some magic that I missed.

Totally agree with David. Drive up was mildly interesting but Andorra has to be the least interesting place in Europe. We had a quick lunch and left.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn in town. Average hotel - believe it had free parking. Decent location - easy to walk the town.

Thanks so much! That puts us going to Montserrat, then through Zaragosa to Bilbao and points between. Maybe we will come back through there on the way back to Barcelona, if we have any time left. Appreciate your help!

The town of La Seu de Urgell is very pretty. I think it would be a much better stop.

Another one in agreement with David. We drove through Andorra when going from Foix to Zaragoza and found nothing overly interesting about it.

I disagree-they have a FABULOUS SPA in town------well worth the trip just for that.
