On a trip to Alaska, we rented an SUV, slept in the back, and found showers in laundromats on the road. Would like to
do a similar trip in Europe. I never noticed the availability of public showers in Europe before. Anyone know if they are available?

I noticed the large rest stops along main roads had showers next to the toilets--not every one had them but the availabilty is probably posted. These are the big stops where gas/petrol is available as well as a variety of dining options and play areas for children.

It's like the US, at the big truck stops on the Austostrada, Autoroute, or whatever main highway, the bigger truck stops all have showers, hotels, restaurants, etc...

RV are big in large parts of Europe I know defiantly Germany and Denmark. You can find RV parking spots all over which offer all of the items you are listing.

Also almost every major train station has shower facilities. In fact the one in Vienna was pretty decent :)

Check out www.camping.info Lots of campgrounds with swimming pools, saunas, etc. Sounds like fun.
