Any recommendations for a comfortable, sturdy, shoulder strap for my convertible bag. (I'm not talking backpack straps.) I've heard goo things about the Skooba/Roadwired Universal Replacement Shoulder Strap.
I bought the one at the Rick Steves store in Edmonds and it is very well worth the price. The best shoulder strap I've ever used. I don't work there, just a happy customer.
I ordered Rick's strap and have been pleased with it. I have the convertible bag and this last trip only used the backpack straps between train station and hotels. The rest of the time I found the shoulder strap more convenient and effective. Especially in the airports and on subways. When I wanted to use one of the handles, I unsnapped the strap and stored it in the same "pocket" that the backpack straps stow in.

Is the RS Shoulder Strap also made by Kiva--like his bags? If not, does it say anywhere on it who makes it?
I can't see any identifying marks on it here.
I bought the Skooba strap to go w/my eBags convertible bag. It works great. I now use the Outdoor Products convertible bag (lighter than eBag) and it works well w/that too. The Red Oxx people sell the same strap, but with metal clips instead of the lighter weight plactic ones on the on I got from eBags. Tom Bihn sells the same strap as well. I would check those 3 websites and see who has best price/shipping. And pay for metal clips if you want them.
