Should i convert USD to BPD at Heathrow, or use ATM card.

Please advice me:
Should i carry cash US$ (from USA) to London and convert it into British Pound at Heathrow airport with Money Changer or should i carry Bank of America ATM (debit) card and draw money there? Which is cheaper?
Bank of America in USA and their affiliate Barclays bank in UK will NOT charge me for ATM use. The question is exchange rate.
How much fee Money Changer at Heathrow airport charge e.g. US$ 2000/= to BPD?
Do money changer give good rate at heathrow or they screw?
Any particular Money changer recommended.
Thanks in advance. I need answer in next 3 days.

Your banks will give you a far better exchange rate thru your ATM withdrawal than you will get for cash at a Heathrow money changer.

ATM's in London airports work great. If possible, take 2 cards in case the machine eats one-I had that happen once in Berlin. We also carry back up cash-usually $400-500 that we divide between the 2 of us-we always use money belts-have known several people who got pickpocketed-even had their passports stolen. In several underground stations in London they announce that this station has a high incidence of theft-I personally have had someone put their hand in my pocket on a train. Have a great trip.

Use your ATM card but carry some U.S. dollars in your moneybelt "just in case." You are wearing a moneybelt, right?
