Day 1: 8 hours from London to Brussels, explore Brussels
Day 2: Explore Brussels / Bruges for the entire day
Day 3: 3 hours from Brussels to Amsterdam, Explore Amsterdam for the entire day
Day 4: Explore Amsterdam for half the day, 10 hours from Amsterdam back to London
I will be taking megabus, thus the long travelling time.
I won't be considering the eurostar to brussels, as it is quite a bit pricier compared to megabus (I'm still a student)
If it makes a difference (like nothing happening in brussels during that time for example), I will be visiting in May 2015. It's really long away but I would like to plan all my short trips first because I am preparing for spring exchange in London and it is going to get way too busy very soon, to even plan!
It is a bit of a rush as I am trying to squeeze it into a 4 day (I can afford to skip one day of school) long weekend.
I would have to stick to this length though.
Would welcome feedback on whether you think it is wayyyyyyyy too short? I have heard that Brussels is a bit boring and worth probably a day trip (sorry, Belgians) but what about Bruges and Amsterdam?
I'm not interested in alcohol/drinking, but definitely some chocolate!
I'm young (20) and definitely have the stamina to go through a hectic 4 days!
