To cut down on the uh..... "hecticity" (my word) I like to be in Frankfurt the day before my flight.
Since this time I will be travelling by train, I will be staying at a hotel near the Frankfurt train station and would like to do some last minute shopping since everything at the airport is so expensive.
What stores near the station would y'all recommend I shop?

If you are staying near the train station, then simply go down to the Zeil, which is the mile long shopping zone. You can get there by either walking straight down the Kaiserstrasse for about 10-15 min. or take any S-Bahn, 2 stops and get off at the Hauptwache. Kaufhof and Karstadt are the big department stores, but there are plenty of others to pick from. If there is one thing that Frankfurt has, it is stores and restaurants aplenty. If you are arriving in Dec. there is of course the Christmas market to go shopping in.
