Shopping malls in Rome?

Are there malls in Rome? Can you point me to shopping streets? Generally to buy clothes, shoes, children stuff etc.

Not that I have ever seen, unless they are in the suburbs. "The" place to shop is near the Spanish Steps where all the designer places are. I didn't buy anything in the Louis Vitton-type stores, but I did find some fabulous stuff along those street and the prices were not awful.

The closest thing that resembled a mall was on Via del Corso. It was an assortment of stores housed in an old building. Not what we here in the US would consider a mall. You want shopping? Go to Venice?

Sonia, I've never seen any "Malls" in Rome, except for the one in Termini station on the lower floor. You'd probably have to go to the "outskirts" of the city to find a conventional Mall. You might have a look at * www.rome.world-guides.com/shopping.html * this website, as it lists some of the shopping facilities there. You'll have to cut & paste the link inside the asterisks. Cheers!

I never even saw a huge grocery store like they have in Paris! The only places we saw were by the Spanish Steps as someone already mentioned. Funny thing was that I had seen a silk scarf I wanted, priced it and everything, but then thought it was way too expensive. Came back home and at the end of summer, early fall, said silk scarf was at my mall, for half the price.
