People are always recommending certain brands but very seldom mention the style. Let's say someone suggests Eccos, does that mean that all the styles are basically built the same--they just look different on top?

Basically that is true. A sandal and an oxford from the same company will be slight different but general size and fit will be very similar.

I know what you mean, when someone says a brand you go to the store and there are like 20 different styles, so which one is the comfyiest,, I guess everyone is different, but, I still like them to name the STYLE as well as brand.
