Shoes? (again!)

Yet another shoe question. I will be in Germany 2 weeks startin mid October, traveling to Dresden, Rhine and Mosel area and also Prague. Then a week in Paris. I was taking waterproof shoes--Keens. Should I also bring boots? I have lightweight rain boots that are good to walk in--Eccos. I travel very light with clothes but shoes are more of an issue with my feet so I do take more than one pair. Thanks.

If the shoes are waterproof there is no need for boots.

If the first pair is waterproof, I agree - there's no need for the 2nd just for the rain. But I always think it's a good idea to travel with a 2nd pair of shoes, just to trade off and give your feet a break. So if you have room and can spare the weight, and the boots are good for all-day walking, I say why not.

I.m all for travelling light too, but I would never travel with only one pair of foot wear. I would take boots and shoes. As Janet said, its good to trade off.

If your're planning any hiking in the Rhine or Mosel areas, two pairs of footwear would not be a bad idea, especially in October.
