Sadly I have been reading about and seeing the “100 year” flooding in western Germany, Belgium and France. Possibly also the Netherlands. I saw a video of flash flood flowing through village streets, homes and busineses. They were evacuating people from second floor windows. How traumatic the loss of life and to watch old beautiful homes being swept away down stream! Cars all piling up in number! Hard times to behold in these lovely places!

Yes, it’s horrific. The death toll so far is 120, Germany has some 1,300 people unaccounted for, Belgium has declared a National day of mourning for Tuesday. . . it’s absolutely tragic.

Every year recently there have ben reports of extreme flooding, ususally in central Europe somewhere. I don't recall this much physical and human damage and loss though.

Oh my! It does sound worse by the minute! Tragic and huge numbers of loss of life and especially those missing! Heart breaking when residents of group home and senior living facility are washed away while sleeping. This event grows more devastating as more rain is possible! Prayer continues from me for all involved!

The flooding that's happening in Germany and other countries is absolutely tragic and heartbreaking, and I certainly hope conditions improve soon. My thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this dreadful situation.
