What will the weather be like in Minneapolis from Sept 15 to Sept 25?? Same answer who knows? Could be hot and humid, probably not too rainy but could be cool. You would plan for it as any trip. Take a variety of light layers of clothing that can be added or deleted as the weather indicates.

Shirley,

I was in Italy last September, and for the most part the weather was great. There were three days of rain, but I suppose that's normal in the Fall.

Unfortunately, the weather this September could be entirely different. Other than looking at long term forecasts, there's no reliable way to predict what type of weather you'll have?

Your best best is to "pack for the worst case and hope for the best". Take at least an Umbrella or Poncho, and appropriate footwear.

Cheers!

I was in Northern Italy in mid September 2 years ago and the weather was superb although we did get one day of rain. Layers are the way to go as the days could be quite warm and the nights a little cool. I always take one of those fold up umbrellas with me. I pack it in my suitcase and then carry it in my purse. Been a lifesaver on several occasions.

I have been in Italy the last two weeks of September for the last two years. Last year: Mid-september in Venice--it rained nonstop for one of the days. We were back two weeks later and it was beautiful--mid 70's/ Two years ago--It rained one day/windy in Venice and ok the next. Florence, Sienna, Rome and Sorrento were in the high 70's/low 80's. I have an excellent collection of umbrellas. I would never haul an umbrella over there but purchase if needed. I love buying them when I am overseas and use them all year long.
