How can I send several cases of wine from Europe to the US? I've read that shipping to an individual is illegal. If so, what about a company? Most important is the process by which I could get this done at an economical rate, like boat vs air. Thanks.

If it's for personal use, you'll have to contact Customs and convince them. Then they'll tell you how much duty you have to pay.
If it's for commercial purposes, you'll have to get an importer's permit.

We had no problem shipping wine home (2 bottles at a time) for personal use. I would rather a case or two but we could not make that happen on our last trip.
