When I try to send my travel photos from my iPad, from Europe, it tries to send them through my home Internet provider. My hotel has wifi. How can send my travel pics to family back home?
On the iPad there is an app/icon that looks like gears and may be labeled "settings". Touch that. one of the first listings when it opens is "wifi". Touch that and wait a few seconds while the device looks for wifi. If there is a hotel signal available, it should show up. Choose that. Assuming there is a sign-in required to access it, that sign-in page should either show up now, or the first time you try to use the Safari web browser or the first time you try to do anything else with wifi. Then you should be good to go...
Thanks Robert. I am connected to my hotels Internet, but when I try to send pics from the iPad it automatically defaults to my home provider, is unable to send and it sits in my out box unsent.
Do you have a gmail or yahoo email address? Set one up and try using that to email photos. I have an issue with a small internet provider that I've used for years. I cannot send mail using the address at all. When I travel, I use a gmail email address, that is recognized and will send through any wifi connection. The other way to send photos is simply through Facebook. I used Facebook and posted 4 or so pictures everyday for my family and friends back home to view.
Facebook is a good idea, but now I can't figure out how to post a picture that I took on my iPad.
