self-filtering water bottles

I know that these filter out the unnecessary stuff in the water, but do they really improve the taste? We'll be going to Orlando in Dec (I know, that is hardly General Europe) and the water there tastes yucky. Will one of those filter bottles make the water palatable?

Carol,

I've heard that these improve the taste, but haven't tried one yet. As I also haven't been to Orlando yet, I can't comment on the quality of the water there, however most municipal water sources are usually good quality.

You might get some good information on this type of product at This Website. You might be interested in This product (note that the advanced filter will be availabe Oct. 15). I'm thinking of stopping by their store soon, as I'd like to try one also.

Good Luck!

I've been to Orlando before, and I've had their water. It is clean and safe to drink, but it has a distinctly swampy taste that really come through in anything but ice-cold water. Rather than spend $$ buying bottled water repeatedly, I'd prefer to bring a self-filtering bottle. IF it will clean up the taste!

Carol,

Thanks for the update on the water in Orlando. I'll keep that in mind if I ever travel there.

It sounds like the product I suggested (or similar product) might help in that regard.

Happy travels!
