My children live in Sicily and are well traveled w 8/10 yr old. They said to plan trip for march '24. Any fun suggestions for family 10 days-is...-spring break. Thinking Ireland? or??? river cruise??? please suggest. thank you

Personally I think Ireland might not have enough to interest kids that age. If they want to see castles, maybe Wales. Or Scotland. You could do the Rhine, but I think a river cruise might be too structured. You could easily base in Boppard and travel by train, or take a day river cruise.
If you do a cruise, I would do an ocean cruise that has great kids programs. My kids loved a Disney cruise at that age. Heck, my husband and I loved it too!
For a bit more adventure, how about Egypt? I would do a guided tour there.

Yes- I agree with travel4fun, Egypt would be a wonderful place for kids of that age. So much interesting history, science, geography, to be learned, and there is a lot of material for school age kids to read ahead of time.
