Search feature and my forum account not working

Is anyone else having trouble getting to certain parts of this website? Last night I tried to load "My Travel Forum Account" to show my husband a thread about national parks. I got the "Dip Server Error" screen. Today I tried using the search feature to find that thread (trying different, more general search terms) and get "Page not found" or the "Server Error." I even tried searching for "Italy" and it didn't work.

Is this a problem with the website? I'm using the same laptop (Toshiba, running Linux Ubuntu) that I always use. Any suggestions?

I got the same error all day yesterday and this morning. At first I thought it was my old iphone and awful wifi/internet service from CenturyLink but after multiple tries came to the conclusion that it’s the website.

Edit: I use Chrome on my phone and computer. Safari magically disappeared from my phone. No loss since I didn’t like it but I wonder where it’s hiding...

I am having the same problem. When I type in Florence in the search bar I get the error page. It happened last night also when I was trying to catch up on a Monday Night travel show I missed.

Twice yesterday I tried to post replies in two different threads. I kept getting an Application Error message. When I switched browsers from Edge to Chrome, I was able to post. I assume it's a website problem, but you might try a different browser.

Well, I'm glad it's not just me, but I hate that we can't fully access our favorite website! I'll try on my tablet - it runs Android.

Thanks, everyone. Since it does seem to be a website problem, they'll get it fixed soon. I hope...

Update: I just tried on my tablet, and the Search feature works, and I can access my Travel Forum Account. Huh.

I was trying last night to reply to someone who had sent me a Private Message. Typed in my message, hit send, it went nowhere. I got the "Application Error" message. So this website was unable to send my PM to the other person.
Now I cannot access my Private Messages at all.
However, this is not the first time the PM system has not worked for me.

My travel forum account just came back up but it looks a little different when I go back to the forum. Maybe there’s a web update going on. I still get the error message when trying to access the search feature.

Yesterday my forum account could not be accessed on my iPhone or iPad. Today I am able to access with my iPad. I contacted our beloved Webmaster today. Andrew said this will probably be remedied on Monday. As we know their is limited staff. He thanked me for bringing it to their attention. ;) To quote Nigel- It needs some TLC.

Webmaster has been notified. He told me he was unable to determine any issues for now, but that he/other RS techies will troubleshoot any problems, if people are still having them, on Monday. I tried again to access My Account (PM.s, etc) a few minutes ago and this time I was successful. For those who continue to have problems, stay tuned...

I've noticed the forum has been a bit "quirky" lately and occasionally when trying to send PM's, I get either the "Server Error.... It's Rick's Fault" or the "Application Error" messages. I usually just wait a few minutes and then try again, and it seems to eventually work.

Thanks for the feedback. We were indeed working through some issues. We believe these issues are fixed, but we expect that you will continue to get the error until you log out and back in.
