Moving to Switzerland in April 2012, and would LOVE to continue diving! Obviously, this will only occur a few times on vacations, but where are the closest spots to Switzerland to get some good diving in?

Check out "The Local" for Switzerland. They also have a forum where you can look up answers to many of your questions about living there. Maybe you should contact the local chapter of the SUSV/FSSS (www.susv.ch) after you arrive.
If nothing else you could talk shop and ask around where people who actually like to dive in warm water fly to...
