scotland

We hope to be in Scotland in sept for about 5 days. Rather then drive we are considering the wee red bus tours or for a three or five day tours. Any suggestions

We rented a car & drove last August, and it was less difficult than we anticipated, but it was still challenging, staying on the correct (left) side of the road, and avoiding oncoming traffic on the relatively narrow roads.

We didn't take any wee bus tours, but if you changed your mind and decided to drive, it can be done!

Not familiar with the Wee Red Bus tours but I believe we ran across them in our travels. We spent a week last September driving around Scotland from our base in Aberfeldy. It comes down to how you wish to travel. Do you want to be on your own schedule or are you okay with someone deciding how your day will be? Do you plan on returning to Scotland? On my first trip to Europe (Germany) I took a tour that covered most of west Germany with a stop in East Berlin (1983). Since then we have traveled on our own by car through many countries in Europe. Either way you will be in Scotland seeing some wonderful sights. Good luck!

MJ and Gary also posted about tours and driving in Scotland in the Scotland Forum which they found later on. :)
