Schengen visa-Where shoul i apply

Hi I am an Indian citizen staying in the UK. I will be travelling to Denmark on Sep 17 and return to the UK on Sep 18. Then will travel to Greece from Oct 2 and return back to the UK on Oct 6. Could you please let me know
1) which embassy should I apply to for the Schengen visa.
2) is there a way to get more than 6 month visa because I will be travelling to Iceland on Feb 3, 2017 to Feb 7, 2017

Thanks
Rahul

Most of us here are not experts on visa requirements for Indian citizens.

I suggest that you consult in London with an immigration service familiar with Indian issues.

I do know that it has nothing to do with where you are living and everything to do with your citizenship and prior immigration record.

You will have to discuss with the Icelandic immigration how you intend to support yourself for a year in Iceland.

What sort of a visa do you have for the UK?

Apologies for the confusion. My query was not focussed on being an Indian citizen.
My question is which embassy (danish or Greek) should I apply to for my Schengen visa.
Since these are two different trips (Copenhagen for one day) and then return to UK and then goto Greece for 5 days.
There is a rule which states that if we are planning a multi-country trip, then we should apply to either the embassy whose country we spend the most time in or to the embassy of the country where we enter first. In my case, I am making two different trips, hence it is not clear to me which embassy I should apply to.

The question relating to Iceland was a separate question, which you may ignore for the time being.
Thanks.

Assume this is a typo:

is there a way to get more than 6 month visa because I will be travelling to Iceland on Feb 3, 2017 to Feb 7, 2016

Feb 3, 2017 to Feb 7, 2017?

Sorry, the answers have to be focussed on the fact that you are an Indian citizen, because you will be treated differently than if you were a citizen of a different country. The fact that you are currently in the UK is the irrelevent bit, other than that is where you will find the nearest Danish, Greek and Icelandic embassies.

Are you in or near London, or in one of the other British nations?

I am in London working here on Tier 2 General visa (will be applying with my wife who is also working here on tier 2 general wife). We have applied successfully for the schengen visa thrice before this, and out of that I have applied once from London (Italy embasy where I received a visa for 6 month)

It sounds like you are quite experienced at this, Rahul.

Did your Italian visa give you all of Schengen for the 6 months, or only Italy?

Both of your Greece and Denmark trips are very short, if they grant 6 months I would have thought to get it from the first - Denmark.

I think that your Iceland will be more difficult.

Good luck with them all.

Hi Rahul,

Before I got my U.S. citizenship, I took a trip to Europe on a Schengen visa -- I imagine the application process is the same for Russian and Indian citizens :)

Typically, you need to apply with the country in which you will spend the most time; if you're spending the same amount of time in each country, then you apply with the country you enter first. I am unfamiliar with applying for a Schengen visa for non-consecutive stays in different countries, however -- on my trip, I stayed within the Schengen zone for about three weeks without leaving it. Your best bet, I think, would be to call the Greek and/or the Danish embassy and ask whether you need separate visas for each trip. Also, I don't know if it's the same in Europe, but Iceland does not have any consulates in the U.S. and you apply to Iceland through any European consulate here.
