My wife and I spend six months each year in Europe, following all Schengen regulations (90 days here, 90 days in Europe, on continuous rotation). My wife has US and also has Hungarian citizenship and a Hungarian passport, so often stays a bit longer than I do. We know that I can stay with her in Europe beyond the 90 day limit as she is an EU citizen (thoroughly researched) and our marriage is recorded in Hungary. My question is: have any of our readers had experience with staying over the 90 days with an EU spouse, with proper documentation? Have you ever had any difficulties leaving the Schengen zone? I am only looking for those of you with actual experience with this, as we know Schengen rules thoroughly (with three daughters living in Europe, too). Thanks!
