Have any of you ever had a gluten free meal on SAS? Traveling from LAX to Norway on Premium Economy (Plus). On some airlines, it's the worst food in the world and it's better to just bring your own.
not sure about SAS but I have given up pre-ordering gluten free meals when we book our flights (fyi- we fly premium economy) as you usually end up with lots of 'melon' and not much else of interest and no choice. if you know what I mean. we have tried three different airlines to europe.
with 'special' meals the only advantage, for me, is you get your meals delivered before everyone else.
as I can tolerate a small amount of gluten, I just have the usual meals, at least you generally get a choice with 'better' food.
just take some with you.
hope this helps.
I do appreciate your input. I truly can't eat any gluten, but we found on BA that at least one of the choices in Premium Economy was safe for me to eat and the one time I did ask for a GF meal it was inedible. Hoping I'd hear better....
