San Francisco Bay Area Travel Meeting

It's that time again to meet with fellow travelers to talk about --- travel!

Everyone who wants to discuss their upcoming trips, reminisce about past trips, or just hang out and talk about travel is welcome!

As always, we meet the 2nd Saturday of the month at 12:00 Noon.

NEW LOCATION:
Marin Brewing Company
1809 Larkspur Landing Circle, Larkspur (Locals call this area "Larkspur Landing" - it's across from the Ferry Terminal)

This NEW LOCATION is closer to the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge which will make it easier for those of you coming from the East Bay. Marin Brewing Company is located in a shopping center called "Marin Country Mart" and is on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. It is directly across from the ferry terminal. When coming from the Richmond/San Rafael bridge take the 1st freeway exit that says "Sir Francis Drake Blvd" and just stay on that road.

Did you say a full bar?? 😉

I wish I could come, but we are going camping for our birthdays that weekend. Maybe you can make it to Sacramento the following weekend?

Good sleuth work finding that great location!
I'll give up coffee for a pilsner any day!
If I'm not picking pears in Oregon, count me in!

oooh, I hope you have a great time.

So, if you will be at Larkspur Landing, who will take a shrine and have a nosey bite for the long departed and greatly missed around the world - Unknown Jeromes.

I used to travel all the way from Lake Merced to have those noses, and the fabulous other cookies, if you can call those products by such a mundane name.

oooh. I do miss my Unknown Jeromes.... such memories you have stirred up....

Happy Birthday Andrea! Have fun camping! Yep, a full bar... to add to the fun! I want to come to the Sac meeting and I'm gonna try but we sold our house and will be moving out on Nov 14th so it all depends on if I can still walk and talk...

Looking forward to seeing you Laura B and Ed...

kat, those pears can wait... Come on down!

Boy Nigel, talk about Memory Lane... The Nazaroon... sadly, no more. But there's two amazing bakeries now in Unknown Jerome's place... Miette and Rustic Bakery... well worth a trip out here!

Eileen, you know you are always welcome!! I'll buy you a beer... ; )

Eileen, I don't know how I missed this hilarious (as always) post of yours... I've been packing too many boxes I guess... cardboard fumes and all.

Yes!! We sold our house!! For reals. And the buyers actually forked over $$ for it!! And guess what, I'll LET you buy me a few beers... then I'll buy you some... Cheers!

Hi Susan - My niece has asked me to babysit for her two girls on Saturday, so I will not be able to make the meeting. I'm bummed... I was looking forward to it! I am hoping to make the next one, though!

Should we all bring empty boxes and help you pack? (....what with all the packing time you've lost on the Helpline ; )
This is your 3rd move in only a couple months. Are you trying to relive your military brat childhood?
Won't be able to make it this time, but will get together as planned for some BB coffee, or maybe something stronger.

"Should we all bring empty boxes and help you pack?"

Yes please!! After living here for 21 years it's a challenge... Even for a Military Brat.

You are funny Kat. Looking forward to seeing you and that Blue Bottle!! And something stronger to go with it... ; )

Really fun meeting today! Hope to see everyone again next month... Although Laura B will be off on her European Adventure by then. For everyone else, come and join the fun!

It was great!! We sat outside at Marin Brewing which adjoins a center courtyard that's charming and there are other good places for food and coffee as well, so, you can go get other good stuff from other places and bring back to the table at MB. MB doesn't care. Two good bakeries, coffee, fun shops, restaurants, trees... just a nice ambiance. Come and join us Andrea!.. ; )

I will certainly try to make it next month. Maybe I can find some other willing participants to make the trip with me. ;-)

Andrea, you are always very welcome! Would be especially great since I may not see you this Saturday. I'm really looking forward to hearing all about your wonderful trip.

Andrea, I might be persuaded...

I hear they have beer there.

Not that I like beer or anything.

Oh, I like the people there, for sure.
