Sacramento Travel Meeting - Saturday 9/21 @ 10:00 a.m.

It's that time again to meet with fellow travelers to talk about --- travel!! As always, we meet the 3rd Saturday of the month at 10:00 a.m. Location- Panera Bread 3571 North Freeway Blvd. Sacramento
This is off I-80, using the Truxel Rd. exit. Everyone who wants to discuss their upcoming trips, reminisce about past trips, or just hang out and talk about travel is welcome. So my question is...who plans to be there?

Sorry, Mom, I'll be there! We still have to dress up 'cause you have to? I'll leave my Crocs at home ;-)

OK - I'm planning on being there, but I'll need a ride. Eileen, could you pick me up around 8 am, on the preceding Tuesday?
If you could do that, I'm sure we can make arrangements where I will pick you up for the TAMU @ USC football game next August; the one that kicks off the 2014 CFB season. Sounds like a great deal to me!!! You think? And....I'll also need a ride home from Panera's too.

@Elaine - If Eileen can pick you up (and I know she can because she's got nothing better to do), I can get you as far as D.C. and you would have to get yourself the rest of the way home. There just one small catch...you will have to fit yourself into a suitcase and pay to check yourself. I'm not responsible if they route you to another airport. What I can do for you is put a nice bottle of limoncello in the bag with you. You're welcome. @Karen...bitter Karen...don't hate. Hey, there is going to be the first monthly meeting in D.C. while I'm there. It's not so far for you to go. It's on 9/29. See you there? If you can make it there will be a bottle of limoncello in it for you too!!

Oh no, it will be sweet. Sweet, but a little tart. Just like you. ;-)

Well, I may have spoke too soon. As much as we would like to come, and need to come since I'm in planning mode, we have the opportunity to pick grapes in a vineyard earning a bottle of wine per hourly work. So, let's see, monte and I will work 5 hours each = 10 bottles of wine, and Monte doesn't drink... I think we will have to miss the meeting, just this once!

I immediately move that the Sept Sacto Helpline Meeting is moved to an as-yet-specified vineyard...Do I hear a 'second'? Boom. Karen, I'm about to hop into my car; if you could be waiting out by your curb Wed afternoon, that would be greaaaat. Actually, if you could get yourself to Indianapolis, that would shave some time off our round trip. You've got the first driving shift. Or, even better, you could Meet Me in St Louis...I don't believe I've ever had the occasion to say that ;-) Oh - we're listining to my music... Elaine, Texas A&M is looking forward to beating your...well, you know ;-) Oh - if you could be waiting with Bitter Karen, that would be greaaaat.

Can we dance the hootchie kootchie? Will you be my tootsie wootsie? And can you pick me up in a trolley so I can hear the clang clang clang? One thing-Andrea seems to be calling me a tart. I'm more of a hussy than a tart.

Sorry Karen. Please forgive me. I got you confused with Eileen. She's the tart and you're the hussy.

Eileen - I'm all packed and will be waiting for you tomorrow morning....but please tell me you can bring me back home so I don't have travel as Andreas's checked luggage. Ewwwww....(no offense Andrea) I'm so very sure You'll be disappointed next year... ;-)

LOL, Larry! Kinda makes you wonder about yourself, doesn't it? We're all so desparate to talk about travel and Europe that some of us will put up with anything to do it ;-) Karen, that will all have to wait for the return leg of the trip when we have a bit more time. Elaine, I can see that we're gonna have to start working on a nice little wager for next year's rout of the Gamecocks game between the Texas A&M Fightin' Aggies and the South Carolina Squeeky Lil' Gamecocks. Got August 28, 2014 marked on my calendar... Gig em', Aggies! Boom. Hey - so it's just Susan, Monte, and my own self out in that vineyard?!? It's gonna be a nice, cool day for picking grapes... and carrying armloads of wine bottles back to the car...

Where the hack are you Eileen??? You are 14 hours late...and counting....and we're way behind schedule.
You know that extra pair of tickets I have for next year's Gamecock Stomping of uh...what's their name.......I guess I could put them on Craig's List.

I plan to be there. Always a good time. Must be -- we seem to stay longer and longer all the time.

Eileen's not in Chino looking for a stolen cat wearing a collar, as advertised on Craig's List, is she (credit to NPR - Wait Wait Don't Tell Me)?

Be careful with those knives; my wife tells me it is harder to do than it looks....

Just a reminder to the Sacto Gang - Saturday is our anniversary. If you don't bring a gift we will accept lunch. We will be leaving the meeting to go directly to a wedding. Since we will be dressed up, I expect the same from all of you. Yeah, you too Eileen. I expect you to wear a dress. And no, jeans will not be considered dressing up, no matter how nice they are. :-)

So sorry, we can not disclose the name of the winery, and as much as I'd love to share the wine with all of you, I'm also under contract to drink every drop of it myself!

@ Eileen & Elaine.....What's this Gamecock talk? Since we're talking fowl, I'm going to toss my Oregon Ducks into this wager. Andrea,I'll be dressed to the nines tomorrow. Got my tiara and rhinestone studded fanny pack ready to go......

Kat, I'm looking forward to seeing that fanny pack! I'm afraid that David got confused and thinks he has to dress for a birthday, not an anniversary. His birthday suit was not what I had in mind!!

I just don't understand how you all can have so much fun without me! Andrea and Eileen, I do not feel missed!

I'm sure your group has fun too Darcy. I can't speak for Eileen, but I miss you. I'm looking forward to another long lunch next time you're in the area. Hey, I have an idea! There is going to be a meet-up in Washington D.C. on the 29th while we are there. You should come to that meeting!!
