Sacramento Travel Meeting - Saturday 12/21 @ 10:00 a.m.

It's that time again to meet with fellow travelers to talk about --- travel!! As always, we meet the 3rd Saturday of the month at 10:00 a.m.

Location- Panera Bread 3571 North Freeway Blvd. Sacramento This is off I-80, using the Truxel Rd. exit.

Everyone who wants to discuss their upcoming trips, reminisce about past trips, or just hang out and talk about travel is welcome.

So my question is...who plans to be there?

Sorry, back home again. It was fun though and I wish I could have stayed longer and talked to more people.

Jo, although your visit was brief, it was very nice to have you and your father drop by for our last meeting. You won't seem as "long-distance" anymore when we see you on the website.

Jo, thinking of you in the lap of Christmas there in Germany, which brings back fond memories. It was great meeting you and enjoying your father's fascinating travel history!

Andrea, I expect to be there. I see that Aggie from Texas might come too. I'll bring a lump of coal for her stocking...

I expect we will have less than the 15-17 people we've had the last 2 months. I am supposed to go make tamales at a friend's that day. When I asked what time, she said all day. I told her I wasn't available until the afternoon, and her response was that I should just blow you guys off. Uh no....that's not happening! The compromise is a split shift for tamales. I will go make them prior to the meeting, then go back afterwards. If anyone can get there a little early to secure the table that would be great, in case I'm running a little later than usual. I know Larry gets there early. Are you coming this month Larry?

Yes. I'll be there about 9:30 to secure the table.

I look forward to being there. Hope we can find parking given all the Christmas shoppers.

"I see that Aggie from Texas might come too. I'll bring a lump of coal for her stocking..."

Hey! I resemble that remark ;-)

I might get there early just to see Larry lying across a couple of tables in order to reserve them...but I probably won't...so thanks, Larry!

I didn't know you were having meetings every month in Sac.
I was working for 2 months in Rancho Cordova in Oct-Nov, I could have come. Although I would head home every Friday.

Roberto, it would have been great for you to attend a meeting. We've been meeting monthly for about 3 1/2 years and it's always announced under General Europe. Maybe you can make it up here some time. We always meet the 3rd Saturday. Susan from Sausalito has been a couple of times and we hope she returns, and Jo from Frankfurt joined us last month.

Roberto, as I write this message, I'm in a hotel in Fremont (across from the Tesla plant). I'm in the Silicon Valley 2-3 days a week and I live in Elk Grove. Just an extra Friday night in a hotel in the Rancho Cordova area and you can attend one of our meetings. Rates are lower on Friday and Saturday nights. Love to have you.

See everyone at 10:00. There may be a little something for those of you who make it to the meeting. And those who can't, see you next month!!

Oh sure, once I leave the country, the gifts come out. Does this mean I need to plan differently next year and visit in Dec.?

My apt. is only 75 sq.m., but I am sure we can fit all 15 of you in, with just a few people in sleeping bags on the 2 balconies. We WILL make it work.

Have you seen how warm out is here in Frankfurt lately? Anyway, the time to come is over Thanksgiving weekend when the markets all start. We will squeeze one more in, never fear. You can pay me in cheddar cheese and Monterey Jack.
