Can we move the meeting to Bistro Jeanty??... : )

Susan, moving the meeting to Bistro Jeanty would definitely eat into my travel fund! Once a month is enough. It was great having lunch with you there last weekend though!!

My wife and I plan to join you to get tips for our first trip to Europe. RS 21 day Best of Europe leaving end of April.

Welcome Joe! We look forward to meeting both of you.

As usual, we wouldn't miss it! The highlight of our month is to talk Europe for hours on end.

Hi, Joe! I really hope you two can make it; kudos on making that drive, too! You and Susan from Sausalito can thumb-wrestle over how many miles vs how many minutes it takes the three of you to make it to Panera ;-) At least one of the 'regulars' has taken several of Rick's tours, so maybe he can answer your tour-specific questions; the rest of us have been to everywhere you'll be going, so we'll do our best.

Dang it, Darcy! I have a life around here...somewhere...

Hi Joe! We look forward to meeting you. Do you plan to spend any time in Europe before or after your tour? If there is something specific you want to discuss, let us know so we can bring appropriate books or maps to assist you.

.

As far as coming the furthest, we may have someone from Arizona!

Thanks Andrea, we look forward to meeting you and everyone else in the Sacramento group. Our plan is to take a side trip to the Normandy Beaches after our tour. If anyone has info on that area of France, that would be great.

If we're not meeting in Yountville, I'll be at Panera with my mashed potato IV.

Went to Normandy a few years ago, so I'll bring some info for you, Joe. Will you have a car?

David: Lunch for moi? You don't even have to explain! I'll take it! Will that be in Paris?...or some semblance of Paris, like the oft regaled Bistro Jeanty?!

Le LOL!

Maybe David can wear a beret...

[...as opposed to a 'barrette'; that would be something altogether different :-( ]

I will be in the Bay Area visiting friends. I am going to try and make it up to Sacratomato.

I was just about to PM you, Joel. Andrea told me you were going to try and make it. That would be great! Bonus points for 'Sacra tomato' ;-) I hope you can see us we can meet you on Saturday.

We should come up with RS passports - each Helpline/Travel Forum person could have their own stamp, and we could carry little passport books...safely tucked away in our moneybelts, of course.

Headed to Amsterdam and Bruges in a few weeks. Any info you might have would be appreciated.

Eileen: I'll drop you off at the closest Belgian beerfest. Then I'll pick you up (literally,
as in off the floor) so you'll make the next Panera meeting.

Works for me...but you won't need to pick me up; you can't enjoy yummy beer if you're intoxicated... :-\ ...but I will require a mussels-and-cheese allowance.

Maybe at the meeting we can discuss how to obtain fake passports. I think there's someone on the helpline that can point us in the right direction. :-P

We want to see the minutes of your meeting about the fake passports. You all do take minutes, right?

Posted by

Minutes are for rookies. We take hours.

Wait until you see the new CV's I ordered for all of you. So proud and I know you will all be thrilled. If you like them, will order the drivers licenses next.

Golly gosh, Ms Jo - that's soooo sweet of you (wiping a tear) ;-)

I'm thinking of ordering some of those fox passports. 'Oh, faux is pronounced 'fō'...'

Nigel, we aim to please.

Laughing...we want them fauxy passports in Moscow next month!

We left close to 3:00. Not exactly early! We had a party to go to. I wish people would stop scheduling other activities for us to attend on our meeting days. How rude of them! :-)

Must return to Cal. soon so I can talk about the co-ed nude sauna and swimming experiences in Europe. They don't hand out those fauxy passports for nothin'. Why do you guys talk about the interesting stuff after I have gone? This is grossly unfair.

David: you were not supposed to EXPOSE those indiscretions!

Jo: That co-ed spa is in your backyard. Go to Baden Baden and turn left!

Wait-am I getting this right? Jo has a hot tub in her backyard, and we're all invited for skinny-dipping?

I'm so sad I missed this by a day! Do you always meet in Sac? I'm going on my first backpacking trip in Europe next month and would love some advice!

@Kathy --- We meet the 3rd Saturday of every month in Sacramento. It's always at the same place and at the same time. See the information in the original post.

Only those who bring me large chunks of aged cheddar cheese and Monterey Jack cheese can visit my hot tub. Always a price to pay.
Thought you all were coming over in Sept. anyway.

I'll be in Germany in October!! ;-)
