Sacramento Helpline Meeting - 2/18

Our monthly R.S. Helpline group will be meeting on 2/18 at 10:00 a.m. at the Panera Bread located at 3571 North Freeway Blvd., Sacramento. It is in North Natomas, off the Truxel exit on I-80. This meeting is open to everyone who would like to come and talk about travel. If you are planning a trip, let us know where you're going. We all have books and maps galore!! So my question is - Who's coming??

Sure wish your mtgs were closer to Bay Area. If you ever meet say in Fairfield /Davis area let me know and I will join in.
I love talking travel!

Hi JS, I doubt we would move our meeting that far west. Our regulars all live east and south of our regular meeting spot. It wouldn't be THAT much further for you to go than if you drove to Davis and it's right off I-80 if you ever want to join us. :-)

Have been on a RS tour but not to one of your meetings. Looking forward to it and learning from you more experienced travelers as well as hopefully contributing something ourselves. Bob & Linda

Anyone in the Sacramento Group interesting in the Camellia International Folk Dance Festival 9-11 March? It takes place at CSUS. PM me if you'd like more info.

I hope to make to one of your meetings because I have a big trip to France planned. Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend on 2/18. Please keep me posted on the next scheduled meeting. - Lynn

@ Lynn - We meet the 3rd Saturday of the month. A reminder gets posted here about 7 - 10 days before the meeting. @ Bob & Linda - I'm looking forward to meeting you. We find we can all learn from each other. I am looking forward to seeing everyone Saturday. Kitty - When we were in the Napa Valley over the weekend we had lunch at Bistro Jeanty. Tres Francais and tres magnifique!! For the new people, we try to sit at the large table in the middle of the restaurant. Look for the blue RS books!

Wait! Andrea! isn't there yellow on the books too? Mine are all blue and yellow (Hmmm, I'm pretty sure Rick didn't go to Cal Berkeley....what's with the blue & gold anyway!)
Only a few more days till the meeting so we must keep this at the top along with the Curmudgeon Group.

Are you guys just going to take all that cat-flinging hokum from the Curmudgeons? Surely there must be comeback... And when are you guys going to name your group? When I had the thrill of meeting most of you (no Texan big hair!?!?) last month I certainly didn't get any thought of curmudgeonness in the Sacto group ... (bump)

Hope everyone has the patience for a newbe. I am planning a trip for my family to Paris, Venice, Cinque Terre(or similar) and Rome. Have my RS book but that's about all. See you tomorrow.

Where IS Eileen with her bouncing/flying cats? She's been quiet again lately.

Now that the travel talk has turned to the question of colors and universities, I shall be forced to wear all things Trojan. Fight On! I shall be there on Saturday, and I am forwarding to Rick the idea that blue and gold should be replaced by Cardinal and Gold (USC designated that is). Kevin

Okay, it's on. Blue and Gold is Cal. Now I will have to show my allegiance. I didn't want to have to go there. See what you made me do!!
