Sacramento Area October Get Together

Hello all, it's that time again! Saturday, 10/16 @ 10:00 we will meet at the Panera Bread located at 3571 North Freeway Blvd., Sacramento (North Natomas). Sorry I missed last month, but I HAD to be in Italy. I tried to get out of it, but, well...you know how it goes. I just couldn't change my tickets. ;-) Looking forward to seeing everyone!!

Be prepared for a slide show and videos from our trip. It could take HOURS! Just kidding...I will spare you all. Looking forward to hearing from others who plan to come.

Andrea, I'm disappointed - I was expecting you two to perform a series of skits, complete with costume changes. I simply can't express my disappointment ;-) We do yak for hours; there'd be plenty of time...Can't wait to see everybody on Saturday!

Jim was planning on wearing his lederhosen, and I, of course, have my dirdl. We have some songs and dances prepared. Will there be alcohol at our meeting? Probably not...too early in the day. Without a few drinks our act will not happen. Sorry... :-)

I don't understand what problem would be posed by alcohol early in the day? If you need an excuse, it's after 5pm somewhere.

Thank you, Kent. 'Somebody' has his thinking cap on... I have travel flasks, and I know you have one, Andrea, so break out the schnapps!
We'll even make it a point to ALWAYS have schnapps on hand in case Mr Rick shows up - I hear it's good in coffee...(on the 'Denver Wall meeting' thread I promised that we'd actually buy Rick a coffee - we're a classy bunch!)

Hmmm...I do enjoy a little Baileys in some hot chocolate. And you're right Kent, it is always 5:00 somewhere!

BUMP- and Kent, I've sent you a PM; it's your Southwest Airlines e-ticket for your recognition that it's 5 o'clock somewhere...;-) We'd love to have you!

Yeah Kent, it's a short flight, or a nice (?) drive down I-5! You could be our guest speaker. It will earn you a cup of coffee...

Kent, we'll be looking for the guy wearing his moneybelt on the outside of his clothes ;-)

Well, it's good to see I'm having a bad influence on someone. Maybe we can do the Whiskey Tour of Sacramento.

Well, well - so it's 'Bad Kent', huh?!? OK, Bad Kent, I can take you on the Sacramento County Belgian beer tour...someone else will have to take you on the Whiskey Tour. Of course, I 'could' tag along - purely research, of course. For any future trip to Ireland, I'd sure hate to commit any faux pas...

Are you planning a get-together in December? I can't be there Oct. or Nov. (must travel), but could get to a meeting the third Saturday in December...... Maybe we should start up something in the Bay Area; there must be enough of us to fill up at least one table. Look for a place with unlimited wifi? Does Starbucks do meetings?

Swan - Our meetings are the 3rd Saturday of the month. Our locations may change, but each month will always be posted. I think the problem with Starbucks, for us anyway, would be the lack of seating for the number of people we have. I'm sure you could draw plenty of people from the Bay Area. I have been in contact with a few who seem interested. That would be great if you could come in December. I am enjoying meeting people in person.

Since you guys have Kent's attention, Kent, I'm going to wear shorts (cargo pants, actually).

I just noticed this post. What's it about? Too late for me to attend though. Maybe next time.
