Sacramento Area Meeting - August 20th

Our August meeting will be o 8/20 @ 10:00 a.m. at the usual place - Panera Bread. For any new people who would like to attend, the location is 3571 N. Freeway Blvd., Sacramento. It is near I-80 and Truxel in Natomas. Several of our regulars are taking off next month for Europe, and Susan & Monte are back from their trip. I hope we can hear about everyone's trips and plans. So my question is --- who will be coming?

I think I forgot to mention that there will be a drawing for the attendees. The prize will be provided by Eileen... ;-)

Oh Darcy, now you have spoiled the surprise... That's okay, everyone loves kittens!

Yes, we have a 17-18 lbs, 1-2 year old 'kitten' I may give away...Are you familiar with the phrase 'bull in a china closet'?!? (disclosure - I'm NOT giving a kitty-cat away, EVEN IF he's driving me to drink...) Oh, I'll be there, too ;-)

Since I won't be able to make it, I gave the prize (that bottle of lemoncello) to Eileen to bring. Methinks it might be empty by the time Saturday rolls around.
Sigh.

W. C. Fields once said, "It was a woman who drove me to drink, and I never wrote to thank her."

LOL! Kat, that bottle is missing - and so is my husband... Or, perhaps he's just at work. BUT that monster cat can probably open the freezer door...... he probably smells like boozy lemons ;-)

If I don't find claw marks on the ice cubes, we'll know we have a tabby scapegoat...

I'm afraid you mean a 'tubby' scapegoat... ...or tiny goat... It's not a coincidence that his name is Big Boy >..<

Hmmm, is that tubby kitten really a lion cub?
(Just wanted to get this to the top to get more Sac Area attendees...Somebody's going to be happy to win that kitten!)

Nigel, must you think the worst of everybody? To accuse someone of bumping a thread...;-) I'd certainly never do such a thing as bump a thread... Somebody's NOT gonna be happy to see how much food and cat litter My Little Bubele consumes...

No, No, Eileen. Not thinking the worst. I wouldn't. I mean .... ;-}

Oh! I AM crushed! It is unbelievable to think that I've been accused of bumping a thread just because the meeting of the Sacramento Area Group--which just happens to include 2 really fun people--is tomorrow at 10:00AM at Panera Bread! Shocking...absolutely shocking!

I've never bumped -- and I've always wanted too, so I'll give it go for Andrea and Eileen.
Can I be in the drawing to win the prize? I lost one of my cats tonight. :-(

@Elaine - I'm sorry to hear about your cat. I think that you are our winner. Just let us know when you can come collect you prize. @ Darcy - Thanks for the plug!! :-) Maybe one day you can both make it to one of our awesome meetings. If you do, well let's just say that we will do a little celebrating with some limoncello. Or maybe you have a new drink of choice now Elaine?? That's what I hear. :-)

Oh, no, Elaine - 'lost' lost, as in 'gone on to his/her reward' lost?!? No! I'm so sorry. Which kitty? :-( >..< Like, we have totally awesome meetings. Was Moon Unit Zappa The Best at Valley Girl Talk, or what?!? Totally... See y'all at 10:00. -ish ;-)

Not lost as in "gone to the land of unlimited mice, goldfish and catnip" but Vidalia the was catnapped and taken to Chicago. I went to pick up some anti-scratch spray at PetSmart - not a smart thing to do when you're feeling a little down and vulnerable--- and now two of Columbia's homeless cats now have a new home. I'll send the details later - heading off to bed - sorry I missed another meeting.....I must be going to the wrong Panera.
