Sacramento Area Get-Together - Sat, March 19

Already?!? OK - here goes: Saturday the 19th at 10:00am. The location - Panera Bread @ 3571 North Freeway Boulevard, Sacramento, CA 95834. Basically, I-5 @ I-80 (NOT Business I-80/Hwy 50). Bring your tired, huddled travel questions; your tear-stained, scrawled-in guidebooks; your waistbelt you just can't figure out how to wear...and between all of us we'll figure it out! Hope to see all of you 'newbies' - you know who you are!!! And I guess it'll be alright to see you 'oldies', too...(sigh)...;-)

Hi, Everybody! I'm Big Boy, and I'm a 47-lb cat. That's what Momma Cat says, anyway. Momma Cat said something else, too, this morning when I flipped the FULL water bowl over on purpose (giggle), but I don't think I should tell you :-# This is called a 'bump'. I'm very good at bumping. I 'bump over' bar stools, lamps (Momma Cat said a bad word that day; something about it being 'one of a pair'...and that it was a good thing that I didn't still have a pair...), silk trees (no real trees, 'cuz we'd *** in them), and anything else not already on the ground. And all of that with only one eye. Imagine if I had TWO!!! Bumping is great fun!!! I'm just one or two years old - who knows? The people at the shelter didn't. So it's a fact that ALL of you are way older than me. But especially Andrea.

Okay Big Boy...you are on!! I will be there, and you had better hope that Momma Cat can protect you. I might be older than you, but I have two eyes and will hunt you down... :-) BUMP

"I have two eyes and will hunt you down... :-)" Now Andrea - that's just mean... .-) (see? my smiley face only has one eye...? just don't tell Big Boy - shush...I do believe he could eat me...that WOULD save a lot of money on cat food, though...but then my DH would be getting the life insurance money...hmmm...) Sorry we'll miss you, Merrill! We'll look for you in April. See you Sat, Larry! I'm not sure if DH will be there this time; he has plans in Folsom at 1:00, and doesn't believe I could actually leave that early LOL! I don't know what he's talking about...

Hey Eileen and Andrea, For those of us who are heartbroken to have missed it, could we have a full report of the wild Sacto get-together? If you're concerned that it's not allowed or if it was so wild that it shouldn't be on the Wall, you could PM me, please?

That's it. The Sacramento group needs its own Facebook page.

Wild? Us? Never!! Well, not me anyway. Eileen gets a little crazy sometimes. But you know what they say...what happens in Sacramento stays in Sacramento!!

Thanks, Sharon! Today is Big Boy's and Baby's 'birthday'; we don't know their real birthdates, so we had to pick something. Raise a glass to them! Meow! >>..<< Happy St Patrick's Day!!!

I just poured a couple if limoncellos for Baby and Big Boy to celebrate their birthdays, so send them over. What? They can't come over for their drinks? Too far you say? Didn't you see the Incredible Journey? Oh, well....I guess I could drink it for them. It will be tough, but I guess I can force myself - it's the least I can do. Mmmmmm..... Should I pour one for you too, Eileen???? (say Yes) ;-)

Maybe at tomorrow's meeting you can research the caloric content of an ounce of limoncello??? If I were there in person, ( instead of just in spirit(s)) that would be my most pressing question. Andrea - maybe you could present a webinar on making limoncello at the April meeting? Regardless - Have a fun time time tomorrow!!!

Larry, remember when your mother told you to be careful who you associated with?

We had a good meeting. All of the attendees that were thre today are going to Europe this year. As a matter of fact, 3 of the 4 will be there at the same time! More importantly, all the ingredients are ready to make limoncello tomorrow. When it's ready you can come on over and have some Elaine!! I'll keep it chilled...

The Sacto meetings sound like such fun! I was there in spirit if not in body. I'm not up to driving that far in the rain. I'll be going to England this year--I need to see some "quaint" villages and speak lots of English. Doc Martin has sold me on Cornwall. I may just be able to fit in the royal wedding.

Swan, I'm very glad you didn't pick today to come and visit; the rain was annoying (and dangerous), but the WIND was awful!!! I might not have let you drive home ;-) Quaint, WARM, England sounds nice today... Buy a nice hat for The Wedding!

Andrea - Please make that a double - no, better a triple. I had a pipe break in an exterior wall this evening - when I turned on the outdoor spigot for the first time this year. It was about 15 minutes before I realized water was running down from behind the siding, and also soaking the interior wall and carpet of the bedroom behind it. Got some of it soaked up in towels. Water is OFF now but Condo office not open till Monday. Tomorrow is going to be fun....SIGH. Bottoms up.

OH NO - been there... I hope it's THEIR problem to fix; even so, it's a mess. Sending good thoughts...
