RS walks

We enjoy getting a RS book for where we want to go, and especially like the "walks" he describes and maps.
Is there a way to download a specific RS walk to your phone and use it like a google map (instructions/directions)?
Rather than holding the book, reading the little walk map, and looking touristy, have it tell you where to turn and has all the recommended sites.

Thanks in adveance!

Definitely...the RS Audio Europe app. Though it doesn't have every walk ever mentioned in the books. But there are lots of walks on it.

I use the ebook version of the guidebooks. It is not the same as having an app with turn by turn map directions, but I prefer it to carrying round a book. I followed the RS guidebook walks in at least 10 places in the south of France on a recent trip -- there were no audio tours for any of them.

Do be aware that Rick only tells you about the things he wants you to see in a city. The walk through Frankfurt leaves out half the sites that would be of interest to many people. It is rather sad. How many other cities are like this? He has opinions about cities and that is what the walk will show you.
You just spent 1000s of $ to get to Europe, why be frugal now? Spend a few € and go on a walking tour. Every decent sized city has them. Make your trip memorable.

Although I use and appreciate the RS walks, I do agree with Ms Jo that if that is your only source you may miss a lot. I try never to rely on one source. I enjoy the RS walks as a pleasant way to get some exercise and a surface overview. I also value a good paid for walking tour but I find that some are more entertainment oriented to garner tips than factual, sometimes a tour in English is not available when I am, and sometimes they will not book a solo traveler if enough others are not already signed up.
