RS on NPR with French guest

I was told that there was a segment on NPR with Rick and a French guest, and this gentleman mentioned a park about an hour outside of Paris, which is supposed to be very beautiful and overlooking Paris.

Now I am trying to find out which park or gardens this was. Anyone know?

Could it be Les Parque des Buttes- Chaumont? I have never been, but was trying to find out about it.

I didn't hear it but I think it's Parc St Cloud, a beautiful park and garden with views of Paris. We tried to visit it one year and got sort of lost. It was during the Rock the Seine event and there were tons of young people walking around. We took the metro then got a taxi and the taxi driver didn't know where the park was so we drove around a bit, then decided to abandon the idea. I'd like to hear if anyone has visited it and what they thought.

I think he was talking about the Chateau of St. Germain-en-Laye. The gardens were laid out by Le Notre and overlook Paris in the distance. The gardens and woods are an open public park and huge. Les Buttes-Chaumont are inside Paris, on the east side.

Edit: Actually, Ginger, I think he did talk about the Buttes-Chaumont also. I wasn't listening closely; the program was on in the background.

I'm sure Bets is right but if you google Parc St Cloud in Paris, you'll see the gardens were done by Le Notre and you'll see the panorama view of Paris. There was a chateau there at one time. I've never seen this park mentioned in any guidebooks but a friend saw it mentioned in Paris Notes a few years ago. Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone wants to check it out. It's on the southwest side of Paris.

Thanks, Grier. Making a note of this. We plan to look up the parks in the future. Possibly next summer.
