RS guidebooks- Kindle editions

I'm thinking about purchasing a couple of guidebooks for my trip. I have a Droid and downloaded the Kindle app, and thought it would be convenient to have the books electronically, rather than packing extra weight. Any reviews on the Kindle versions of the guidebooks? I'm looking specifically at Paris and Florence. Thanks!

I bought the Kindle version of Rick's Belgium guide. As near as I could tell it was exactly the same as the print version. However, it is not as easy to read on a Kindle. If you're just going to read it straight through, it's fine. But of course, you won't be doing that. You'll be skipping through looking for specific things and it's not quite as easy on a Kindle as with an actual book. Also, the maps are very difficult to use because the entire map doesn't fit on the screen it breaks it down into four separate pages. That said, I would never take a guide book with me again. I would glady put up with the limitations of the Kindle to save myself from having to lug books around.

I made a signifcant post on this today here Kindle. There are workarounds, and like Carroll, I am not going back to paper except in very limited circumstances. I have a Droid and I don't think I'd put up with such a small screen for long, but give it a try!

Sold! I'm going to download them now and highlight and make notes in them. I'll print out some maps to use if I can't figure out how to cache maps on my phone to use without internet. Thanks!
