RS get-togethers in New York City?

I've noticed some posters referring to get-togethers in the area where they live. Sounds delightful meeting and chatting with like-minded people. Does anyone know if there are any such events in New York City?
Thanks!

There was no Denver group until Frank and I started to meet. Since then, others have formed groups in Sacramento and Atlanta. Start you own. When you see someone near you posting, PM them. If you have a place in mind, post here. Make it happen. Maybe Michael Schneider will attend. Good luck.

Thank you, Lee. I'll do what I can to make it happen. I think it's a great idea.

I have been on several RS tours. I work in Manhattan, so if you had a gathering on a Friday nite after 5PM or on the weekend in Manhattan, I would attend. Ann

My son in now in New York City so I will send him to collect the franchise fee? Just set a time and place, and see who shows. It is very informal.

Frank is joking about the franchise fee, Dorothy.

Dorothy, Frank says that he has yet to receive the franchise fee from the Sacramento group. I don't understand how that happens - I, um, 'mail' it to him every month ;-) Good for you (actually, y'all) - I hope you can get a group together!

Frank, we took up our monthly collection for you (and it was quite a large sum if I do say so myself), and gave it to Eileen. She promised she would mail it right off to you. She said that after the meeting she was going up to Reno for a concert. Yeah, right, a concert. More like a night at the blackjack tables, right Eileen!! Seriously Dorothy, I hope you can get a group together. It is a lot of fun.

I am on board. Just name the time and the place and if I can make it, I will be there. I would like to meet others that like the RS tours and like to travel to Europe. Sounds like it would be a good time to have a drink or a bite to eat and talk to people that enjoy traveling. Ann

Hi Dorothy,
We started our Atlanta group last October with a lot of encouragement from members of the Denver and Sacramento groups. It has been so much fun to share experiences and travel tips with like-minded travelers! I'd encourage you to do it--even if just a few people attend the first meeting, I bet your numbers will quickly grow. Good luck!

Thanks to all of you. We'll give it a go... (and we'll start collecting that franchise fee right away, Frank!)

Thanks, Lisa and Ann. I'll be sending out a notice soon of a meeting. I'm getting itchy to start planning summer travels and hear about others' plans!

I may be up for it - I work on 57th but usually hustle back to NJ after work.
