My husband and I want to take our son to Europe. He will be 14 when we would be going. I would like to book a Rick Steves tour - I did Best of Europe many years ago and it was beyond amazing. My question is based on experience would you recommend the Family Europe or a regular tour? I would prefer not to do the My Way because I'd like to have everything planned out for us. For context, we just got back from NYC where we walked between 6-9 miles a day. Thanks for your thoughts.
There is no reason a typical 14 year old would not fit in with a regular tour. One that has an interest in Europe or enjoys travel in general, will do even better.
I agree whole heartedly with Joe. We have taken our grandkids and kids on RS tours fairly regularly since the grands were 8&9 years old starting in 2008 (Family tour) right up until this past June when we all took the Adriatic tour. They did very well on each and every tour we took. I wouldn’t hesitate to go either on the Family tour to start or one of the tours we took as they got older; Germany, Austria, Switzerland; South of France, Village Italy, Paris City tour, 8 day Ireland and Adriatic to name the ones that come immediately to mind. I can’t recommend enough taking your kids and/or grands to Europe as soon as you are able. He will have a blast and so will you. You chances of having other kiddos his age are excellent on one of the family tours. Might be a good place to start.
Thanks! This is helpful :)
