RS Family Tour - iPad

We are thinking about a RS family tour and wonder if our tween should bring an iPad.

Do they all or many bring one or is it best left home?

It really depends on what you want to do with it - I found mine useful for checking email in the evening, and it could also come in handy for downloading photos. One tip - if you do take it, have it available for inspection at the airport.

Are you bring it as a tool to be used for various functions or as a distraction for the tween?

Having done the Family tour i vote no if to entertain the kids, they all entertained themselves quite well at the back of the bus, it was like summer camp back there, kids from 8-17 all socializing with each other, all from different places , my 11 yr old had best time meeting kids from other places .

For checking emails fine( ( i bring a small tablet ) .

Keep in mind tween will be in charge of her own suitcase so this is one more thing for either you or her to be responsible for..

I do think it would be a dhame if tween just sat on bus on tabket and missed scenery and socializing.

The tour is not boring.
