I am looking at pictures all over and I see where the shoulder straps detach and tuck into the pocket, but where does the waist strap go? It doesn't detach, but I am not seeing a pocket for it either. Maybe it clips together and gets pulled snug?

there are little slit type pockets at the bottom and the straps tuck in there.

Mine has a waist strap attached inside the back panel and pull out of the slits Kathleen mentioned.

If you go to RS 'Travel Store' on this website, click on 'Travel Bags', 'Convertible Carry-on', then click on 'See Product Detail' under the photo of the bag, then click on the middle photo (of the back of the bag), you can see at the very bottom where the waist straps are attached to the bag. There's a little 'scallop' of shiny fabric? That's the pocket everyone is talking about, just in case you haven't found it yet!

Thanks all! I see it now. I thought that little shiny area was just decoration, but upon closer inspection I can see where they are little pockets.
