Rome Help- need US to Continental Plug adaptor-Rome

Lost my plain vanilla $1.00 US to Continental plug adaptor to charge my iPhone, etc. Where might I purchase one near Spagna/Centro Storico? I don't need a transformer, just the adaptor. Thanks ahead of time!

First place I'd ask is the desk at the hotel. Almost certainly they will have a drawer full of ones left behind.

Then a big DeSpar supermarket or Conad if you are going past one. There is a supermarket in the basement of Termini station which may be a Conad. Coin is a good cheap department store. Euronics is a European electronics and home appliance chain. They have a store near the bridge between Piazza del Populo and the Prati at Via Luisa di Savoia, 12; and one at the northwest end of Termini at Piazza dei Cinquecento.

But, seriously, check the desk.

Will,

I agree with Nigel. The first place is to ask the desk staff at your hotel. If they don't have Plug Adaptors on hand, they will likely know where to get them.

If that doesn't work, the first place I'd try is the Conad Drugstore in the basement of Termini station. I'm not sure why they call it a "Drugstore" as it's more of a supermarket, and has mostly grocery items as well as some small appliances and other gadgets.

This is generally why I always recommend packing AT LEAST TWO Plug Adaptors on every trip.

Good luck!

Thank you for your responses. I will try those locations. In an apartment, so no front desk, but hey maybe I'll stride into a big hotel with confidence and just ask!

Many souvenir shops in Rome, which often are staffed by Asians, have plug adaptors, although you will probably need the clerk's help to find them.

Will,

Unless youre over the atlantic somewhere, why not buy it here?

I know that REI sells them as do Radio Shack if they are still around.

Some of the places likce Best Buy had the "bag of adapters" the ones that would fit only a particular outlet. I believe REI has the same thing.

also, depending on the size of your airport, you maybe able to get one in one of the travel shops.

happy trails.

Found one the next day. Hardware store on Via di Torre Argentina near the Pantheon in case someone else is looking. Thank you for all of your help.
