Romania not in forums list?

I just wanted to find out why an E Europe country that I have explored and think others should explore is not on the travel forum country list.

Romania is not on your list. Why. I only found one comment from Rick about Bucharest.

Anyone else feel that Romania is a go to place for a back door Europe adventure like me?

And just across the Danube, Bulgaria, too. And Rick's even done a Bulgarian TV eposide!

Romania does have its fans, and is discussed on the Forum (mostly in General Europe, like your post?), but perhaps not enough yet to warrant its own category. I remember feeling almost like a millionaire years ago, when we had to withdraw tens of thousands of lei just to get breakfast once our train arrived in Bucuresti.

SUGGESTION . . . Send a note to Webmaster on "Report Violations". The link is at the bottom of page.

Just my 2-cents worth.

Neither is Bulgaria, Moldova, Ukraine, or Belarus. Estonia is on the list, but not Latvia and Lithuania. How many people would post on these boards. Maybe just have one for "Other Europe".

Come to think of it, several on the list now are not well visited and should be put on Other Europe.

No need to use Report Violations. Go to General Europe, click on Webmaster under Authors, and send him a PM.

I'm going to make the same suggestion to the Webmaster that Iceland have it's own forum!

I have spent time in Romania and Bulgaria (just returned from our second trip). They are both worthy. There are a few countries here that get very little traffic so that's not a great reason. I would love to be as overly enthusiastic about Bulgaria as I am accused of being about Hungary. I just need a forum. I asked the same question once and got a quote from RS "Bucharest, Romania's capital, has little to offer. Its top-selling postcard is of the InterContinental Hotel." Actually I think the best selling card is really the Palace of the People.

Excellent Idea! A UK forum, then a Great Britain Forum!! Do you know how many actually understand the difference? Of course the UK forum would take care of the currently missing Northern Ireland but may be problematic if some of the Scotts have their way. All this is a little humorous which is more than I can say about the tragic attempt by Russia to take care of Ukraine missing out of the forum. I would suspect a few more countries currently missing from the list might find themselves here by default if things keep going they way they are. Now I am getting mad.....never mind.

Thanks for the support. I like the idea of sending a message via the report abuse link.

For some reason RS group has drawn an line at borders or Hungary and Poland and nothing east of there has its own forum. Romania and Bulgaria are definitely E Europe. I did see the post by RS that not thinking much of Bucharest. I have lived in C and E Europe since 2011. I think they also maybe a divide between younger and older travelers. Older still going for the traditional W Europe and all the tours and easy self tours. The further East you go the harder and more edgier Europe gets. Yes Bucharest is not pretty right now and kind of tough. But that makes in fun to visit and if you are "back dooring" it the type of place to see. Lot more to Romania that the capital.

I can't comment on Ukraine as that is closer to Russia and I have only been to Lwiw.

UK that is covered a plenty by England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland forums. .

So join me in send a message via links to get Romania (and Bulgaria) on the travel forum country lists!

And "poor" little Luxembourg is so unloved by Rick's crew, it cannot even get listed with Belgium, not even as Benelux, much less alone. Not even a mention. That's abuse of the highest order ! ; > (
