Romania did a great tour there

We just came back from a great 6 day bus tour of Romania (after a Danube River cruise ending in Budapest).

Gate 1 Travel was excellent, we stayed in nice hotels and our tour director was super. Local guides were excellent.

It seems to me that the number of real trip reports has been dwindling. Why dont you restart the trend.

Thanks for posting, I was unaware of that company until recently. A few solo travelers I met in Greece were very pleased with them too. I’d love to hear more about Romania.

The river cruise was on the Monarch Queen and from Regensburg, Germany to Budapest, Hungary.
We visited several places along the way, including Regensburg, Passau, some small cities in Austria, including Melk Abbey, Durnstein and Vienna. Also, Bratislava, Slovakia and Budapest. While cruising we saw many interesting castles, villages and other historical places.

The cruise was first rate with great dining. The ship is rather new, clean and very tidy. Our cruise director and entertainment director were great. Our entertainment director kept us laughing.

Romania was a bus tour after exiting the ship at Budapest. We visited Timisoara (1 night), Sibiu(1 night), Brasov (2 nights) and Bucharest (2 nights). In route, we stopped at some great places, including Dracula's Castle at Bran, Sinaia, and Sighisoara (an intact medieval town.
